What it is: U: The Mind Company is developing a Noninvasive Deep Brain Stimulation treatment for many diseases in a very cost-effective manner. We use a novel form of Noninvasive Deep Brain Stimulation that can target a region deep inside the brain without stimulating the surrounding areas. Transcranial electrical stimulation (tES), a non-invasive neurostimulation technique, has shown versatility in its applications, ranging from cognitive enhancement and mood regulation to potential therapeutic interventions for neurological and psychiatric conditions. Its ability to modulate neural activity makes it a promising avenue for research and development in diverse fields, showcasing its potential impact on both cognitive performance and mental health outcomes.
Our patented tES device for Parkinson’s Disease delivers targeted electrical stimulation to the brain, reducing motor symptoms (tremors, walking gait) and improving daily functioning. Our tES device for Alzheimer’s Disease was designed specifically for individuals with AD. It stimulates key areas of the brain to enhance cognitive abilities and slow down cognitive decline. It is a non-invasive and convenient solution for managing effects of AD. Our tES devices have undergone rigorous research trials, with 225+ trial subjects and 25,000+ hours of safety data. Our first and foremost goal is to ensure your tES experience is one that safely enhances your life. The Medical Device is not cleared by the FDA for commercial distribution in the United States and is not available for commercial sale. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and is intended for investigational use only.
What we did: We met the inventor when he was contemplating developing the technology to serve unmet needs in the neurodegenerative and behavioral health fields. I partnered as a co-founder and have served as Chairman of the Board since inception, providing regular guidance on business, investment, regulatory, and other strategic areas. We also introduced them to their investor and helped prepare the materials for what was a successful fundraise.
